Materials and Tools
For yarn, you'll need a fingering weight yarn in a main colour (150 [170, 190] yds / 138 [156, 174] m) and a contrast color ( 30 [40, 50] yds / 28 [37, 46] m). You'll also need three stitch markers, two pieces of waste yarn for holding thumb stitches, and a tapestry needle.
The gauge is 32 stitches x 40 rows in stockinette, and the suggested needle size is US 1.5 / 2.5mm.
Gauge and Needles
This is an intermediate knitting pattern, and is knit in the round and uses increases. The two columns of purls and slipped stitches running up the middle are just enough to break up the rounds without making anything feel tedious or overwhelming.
